Dorothy Wheeler, 90

Dorothy P. Wheeler, 90, of South Whitley, passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012, at her home.
Born on March 5, 1922, in Leiters Ford, she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Fisher) Campbell.
She moved from LaPorte to South Whitley, and lived there for 40 years.
She worked at Dana Weatherhead, Columbia City as an assembler for 15 years. She was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City.
Survivors include her six children, Thomas (Kathy) Wheeler of Pierceton; Trina Fetchik, Cindy Gaff, Dixie Renfroe, Sharon Giordano and Kenneth Croussore, all of South Whitley; sisters,Virginia Thomas of South Whitley and Jean Whetstone of California; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Juanita Newell, brothers, Lester and Virgil Campbell and grandson, Craig Saltsman.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, from 4 to 5 p.m. at New Hope Wesleyan Church.
The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Thursday at the church with Pastor Jason Denniston officiating.
Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Wheeler’s memory to St. Jude’s or Riley Hospital for Children.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City.
