OSSIAN â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s boys basketball team lived to play another day Tuesday night with an impressive 52-27 win over Bellmont in the sectional opener at Norwell.
After only topping the Braves 39-38 in the regular season, the Eagles took a lopsided victory Tuesday, building on their lead throughout the game to pull ahead.
Columbia City took a 15-7 advantage in the first quarter, with points from its top three scorers â€” Brachen Hazen (6) Mason Coverstone (6) and Justin Bachelder â€” including three 3-pointers.
