February 7, 2014

CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s boys basketball team failed to make it two wins in three games when it fell to Lakeland Friday.

The Eagles had defeated Central Noble last week, then fell on the road to Angola Monday. Friday, ’Busco was edged out at home 48-44 by the visiting Lakers.

The Eagles now hold a 2-12 record and are 2-4 in the NECC.

It was a tight contest that was tied at halftime, 19-19. Churubusco had a shot at the end to tie, but missed, and left Lakeland to shoot free throws.
