Eagles run at DeKalb

WATERLOO — Columbia City’s girls and boys cross country teams took home eighth and seventh, respectively, at DeKalb Saturday.

Samantha Roush led the girls with a 11th-place finish of 20:00. Brooke Werstler was 48th, Samina Qureshi was 52nd, Shelby Allison 56th and Natalia Johnson 68th. Erin Knepple came in 69th and Karina Rubrake crossed the line at 107th.

Fahl said the team did better than its first performance.
