Eagles seeking revenge at home

CHURUBUSCO — Any time a school is ranked third in the state, it has picked up some big victories.

Churubusco’s football team, currently ranked third in Class 2A in Indiana, is no exception. The Eagles are coming off of a punishing shutout victory against West Noble last week by a 49-0 score to move to 6-0 for 2013.

Now, a big test comes the Eagles’ way in the form of their opponent this Friday, Culver Military Academy.

Culver is 4-2 for the year and currently unranked in Class 3A, but owns some big wins. Culver defeated Lafayette Central Catholic earlier this year. Central Catholic, now at 2A, is the four-time defending 1A state champion.

It is the second year in a row that Culver has beaten Central Catholic, and the military academy is the only team with a win over the Knights since 2009.

’Busco Head Football Coach Paul Sade spoke in the highest terms of Culver’s squad.
