FORT WAYNE — Columbia City took two from Bishop Dwenger in a double header Saturday at Shoaff Park.

The Eagles won the morning game 8-3, and then beat the Saints again by a final of 13-3.

Columbia City betters its record to 13-8 with the two wins. Both victories are part of an important turn-around for the Eagles, who before Saturday had a 4-6 record so far in May.

“I think we were in the game, as opposed to other games we’ve had this last month,” said Columbia City Head Coach Zac Bireley.

“We know that we’re coming into sectionals, and we’ve got to start putting things together.”

The Eagles’ first sectional game is Thursday at Carroll at 5 p.m. against DeKalb.
