PIERCETON — With each passing day, Whitko schools are getting closer to the end of the school year, but that doesn’t mean that these next few months will go by without any activity.
At last week’s school board meeting, the agenda was full and three principals gave in-depth reports on the events going on at their particular schools.
Principal Bruce Hansen announced that South Whitley Elementary Sch-ool will host Donuts for Dads April 11 from 7:20 to 7:50 a.m. This will be a chance for students to join their fathers in the cafeteria for breakfast.
Muffins for Moms is being planned for sometime in May and will be set up much like the father’s event this month.
“We have a great turnout at our events,” said Hansen.
Recently, the school held a wild-west style carnival for students and their families.
“Our schools were packed with people from the community,” Hansen said. “We have a lot of support at these events and we look for the same at these breakfasts coming up.”
