Eleanor Gordon, 86

Eleanor Jean Gordon, 86, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. She was born November 14, 1925, in Tampa, Fla., to Arthur Gilbert Lester and Mona Lester.
Eleanor worked as an FBI file clerk during World War II, a cook at Huntertown Schools and retired from Magnavox in Ft. Wayne.
She was a member of the Tri-Lakes Women’s Club; Motorcycle Club; AMA life term member; original family member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Ft. Wayne; alter guild St. Alban’s; cub scout den mother for 13 years; volunteer adult scouter for 18 years; Democratic Precinct Committee Chairperson for Perry Township, Allen County and a judge at polls for Thorncreek Township, Whitley County for 12 years.
Surviving relatives include her son, Richard (Julie) Bonjour of Ft. Wayne; daughter, Mona (Roger) Litchtsinn of North Manchester; daughter-in-law, Therese Bonjour of Ft. Wayne; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by son, Dennis Bonjour.
Memorials made be made to the family by I.C.O. Mona Lichtsinn. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kindred Transitional Care’s Court Yard, 6006 Brandy Chase Cv. Funeral arrangements have been made by D.O. McComb and Sons.
