Empty lot a concern for S. Whitley board

SOUTH WHITLEY — With the south wall of the Green Parrot now repaired in compliance with the South Whitley’s unsafe building ordinance, Utilities Manager Dennis Eberhart voiced his concerns on the vacant lot where the now-demolished Hicks and Deaton building shared a common wall.
“There is a hole where the (Hicks and Deaton) building use to be,” Eberhart said.
Council Vice President Tonya Warner said the lot should be the responsibility of the property owner, with the area being graded and leveled.
