EMS the sequel: County officials mull change to hospital’s EMS proposal

COLUMBIA CITY — In May, Whitley County’s government officials thought the issue of Emergency Medical Services was resolved.
The Board of Commissioners, with the blessing of the majority of county council members, voted 2-1 to enter into a five-year contract with Parkview Whitley Hospital to have the hospital continue to run the county’s ambulance service.
On Wednesday, they got a surprise.
