Energy assistance still available during winter

COLUMBIA CITY — CANI (Community Action of Northeast Indiana) is continuing to take appointments for energy assistance for all of its offices in Allen, DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley counties.

Applicants may only receive Energy Assistance once per heating period (Nov. 4, 2013 through May 15, 2014).

Individuals or families who have already received assistance during the current season should not apply again, but may be eligible again in future seasons.

Any eligible individuals or families who have not yet received Energy Assistance this season are encouraged to apply.

To make an appointment, call CANI at 1-800-589-2264, press “1” for Family Support.
