Energy savings can bring double bonus for library

June 17, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — A free Residential Home Energy Assessment from Energizing Indiana can help lower energy cost during summer months.

Opportunities are being offered to learn ways to lower energy bills, improve in-home air quality, and increase a home's value.

Qualified professionals will assess energy use and recommend appropriate weatherization measures. They may also inspect a home's air duct sealing, insulation levels and more.

Participants will also receive a free energy savings kit, which includes low-flow showerheads, CFL light bulbs and sink aerators.

Once the assessment is complete, residents will receive a free report detailing what can be done to start saving energy right away.
