COLUMBIA CITY â Halfway through its inaugural school year, Eagle Tech Academy is exactly where it planned to be, according to Principal Brady Mullett.
The year began with an enrollment of 112 students, five full-time staff members and a focus on providing a project-based learning environment for both students and staff.
âWe want to create a true professional learning community where we can ask the question to each other of âwhy are we doing what weâre doing,â and become reflective on our own practices,â said Mullett.
The school is beginning to receive accolades and recognition for its program.
Already, three Eagle Tech teachers have been asked to present at the New Tech National Conference.
The school has already received 112 enrollment requests for its 2012-13 waiting list.
Teaching positions have been posted internally to expand the staff.
In the spring, professional development and training will begin for new teachers and staff.
