Evelyn Magley Coleman Duffield, 92, of Kingsport passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Asbury Place.
Evelyn was born in Columbia City, and came to Gate City, Va. after her marriage in 1943 to Hon. Roderick Dhu Coleman. She was employed as an executive secretary at radio station WOWO in Fort Wayne, North American Van Lines, and the office of the Commonwealth Attorney of Scott County. She was one of the first Mary Kay Beauty Consultants in this area and was with the company for 31 years. She moved to Asbury Place of Kingsport in 1994. Evelyn was an active member of the Gate City United Methodist Church and sang in the Chancel Choir.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Roderick Dhu Coleman, second husband, Richard E. Flox, and third husband, R.G. Duffield; parents, Mary Mathias and Kenneth E. Magley, sister, Marilyn and brother Dean.
Mrs. Duffield is survived by her son Roderick Coleman and his wife, Mary Beth; son Geoffrey Coleman; granddaughter Mary Ann Trimble, husband Dirk, and great-granddaughters Samantha and Zoey; and, granddaughter Caroline Raiszadeh, husband Shawn, and great-grandson Adam.
