EXPANDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: Whitley-Forward announces college savings plan

Erica Miller, executive director of Whitley County’s YMCA, shares information to a group of community leaders about a new savings plan meant to advance educational opportunities for Whitley County children.

COLUMBIA CITY — A collaborative, community-driven initiative was announced at a meeting of community leaders Tuesday. Whitley-Forward, a group comprised of business owners, government officials and community activists working to advance the county in areas such as education, economic development and quality of life, gave an update on its progress.
