Fall sports practices set to begin

WHITLEY COUNTY — Fall sports are set to begin within the next month for high schools all around Whitley County.

Before athletes can take to the gridiron, court or course, though, practice must be held.

First official practices for Columbia City High School teams are as follows: Girls golf will be Friday, Aug. 2, at 9 a.m. at Eagle Glen Golf Course.

The rest of the Eagles’ fall sports will kick off Monday, Aug. 5.

Football will hold a meeting at 3, with two practice sessions to follow. These events will be at the football practice field and the athletic building.
