FARMER'S MARKET: Season comes to close

October 12, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY — Saturday will mark the end for sidewalk vegetable sales. The Whitley County Farmer’s Market will hold its last sale day Saturday.
Market Master Chris Lilly said, “2012 has been an outstanding season. I would like to personally thank everyone who came down to the Whitley County Farmer’s Market. We are already planning for 2013.”
Just because the frost has met up with the pumpkin does not mean all produce sales are over. In fact, pumpkins are among the many items still for sale at the market, including squash, fall decorations and homemade products.
The market will be held around the courthouse from 8 a.m. to noon. To follow the vendors and activities taking place at the market, visit Whitley County Farmers Market on Facebook.
