FEELING THE LOVE: Secret admirer’s motivation is no mystery

February 14, 2014

A student at Columbia City High School made more than 2,000 valentines to share with the entire student body. The act was done anonymously so that the focus was on the sentiment, not the student.

COLUMBIA CITY — It’s Valentine’s Day. No doubt the day will be full of flowers, candy and romantic gestures of all sorts.

Among the many traditions associated with the holiday, love sent from afar is best captured in the revelation of a secret admirer, an anonymous expression of love and adoration.

Columbia City High Schools students were greeted by a secret admirer this morning, as lockers were decorated with paper hearts displaying the message, “you are loved.”

But cupid is not the culprit. A student, who acted under the cloak of anonymity, constructed and distributed 2,200 valentines.
The secret admirer said she wanted the act to remain anonymous, but the motivation was to express kindness on this national day of love.
“The point behind it is to show that everyone deserves a valentine. Everyone is loved.”
