FIRE: Destroys garage, vehicles

COLUMBIA CITY — A Tri-Lakes fire leveled a garage and damaged two homes Sunday afternoon near Little Cedar Lake.
Thorncreek’s Fire Department was called to 2716 E. Island Ct., the residence of William Henney Jr., at approximately 4:14 p.m. Sunday for a structure fire.
Two vehicles were destroyed and two houses had smoke and heat damage to the outside, but Green said there was no substantial damage inside the houses.
TTFD was assisted by Smith and Noble Township Fire Departments, along with Whitley County EMS and the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.
