Firemen hurt in Saturday house fire

COLUMBIA CITY — Two firefighters were injured during the aftermath of a fire at an abandoned house Saturday night.
Chad Jahn and Carl Freewalt, both assigned to the Thorncreek Township Fire Department, were dismantling the ceiling of the fire-damaged house on Etna Road when the ceiling collapsed, injuring both firefighters, according to Township Fire Chief Adam Hurley.
