FIRST-AID: Middle schoolers become trained to save

Miller uses a manikin to teach students various life-saving maneuvers.

Seventh-grade students enrolled in Whitko Middle School’s Family and Consumer Sciences class recently learned about first aid. Christine Miller, Whitko Middle School a registered nurse, presented and demonstrated to the students how to perform CPR, the Heimlich maneuver and basic first aid procedures. The students were then able to practice those skills on a manikin.
