Four Eagles placed on all-NHC squad

COLUMBIA CITY— Four members of Columbia City’s football team were named to the Northeast Hoosier Conference all-conference team for the 2013 season.

Senior Wayne Smith led the Eagles by being tapped as Columbia City’s lone first-team member. Smith also played on offense for Columbia City at wide receiver.

Junior Drew Cummings was named honorable mention at center for Columbia City.

On the defensive side of the ball, Dakota Goldwood was an honorable mention choice at defensive end.

Junior Braden Myer was selected honorable mention at interior line for defense. Myer also toted the ball for the Eagles on offense at the fullback position.

Columbia City posted a 2-5 record in the NHC this year. The Eagles had a 41-28 win over Bellmont and a 34-12 victory against DeKalb for homecoming.
