Frank Rice, 82

Frank M. Rice, 82, of Upland, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Marion General Hospital in Marion.
He was the son of the late Elijah Rice and the late Georgia (Jones) Rice. He was born in Jonesboro, Oct. 26, 1930. He attended Jonesboro High School. Frank was an inspector for Indiana Gas Company for 40 years retiring in 1991. Frank and Pauline McRoberts were married Dec. 26, 1999. Pauline survives in Upland. Frank loved horses and enjoyed shows and racing.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Pauline; two daughters, Sherry Rice of Upland and Tammy (Rick) Mills of Larwill; three sons, Terry (Cindy) Rice of Matthews, Timothy (Rita) Rice of Marion and Frank Jr. (Betty) “Tootie” Rice of Upland; three stepsons, Robert (Madonna Sue) Lewis of Alexandria, Terry (Linda) Lewis of Alexandria and Randy (Terri) Lewis of Fishers; two sisters, Della Mae Lockridge of Jonesboro and Marjorie (Bob) Lecron of Jonesboro and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Janice (Brown) Rice; three sisters, Emajean Slatter, Barbara Vermillion, and Doris Leffler and stepson, Troy Lewis.
Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount. The funeral service will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Rodney Eiler officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery, Montpelier.
