Fremont tops ’Busco

CHURUBUSCO — Visiting Fremont edged past Churubusco’s boys tennis team due to a forfeit at No. 3 singles.

’Busco forfeited that match, which ended up being the difference in a 3-2 win for the visitors.

Churubusco got wins at No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles, with Luke and Landon Lillmars getting straight-set wins, respectively, in each match.

At the doubles level, Landon Pearson and Derek Bowyer of ’Busco lost to Wane Regandenz and Mason Kolberg of Fremont, 6-2, 7-5.
