FUTURE FACILITIES: WCCS to survey parents, citizens

September 17, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Consolidated Schools began a survey of the community Monday.

The WCCS district is looking for input from parents, guardians, teachers, staff and other members of the community in regards to a future district referendum, or vote, for funding of a new high school facility, as well as upkeep of current schools and new safety and security measures.

“This information will be valuable to us as we set the course for future facility plans,” WCCS Superintendent Pat O’Connor said. “I’m very excited to finally see statistical results as to the opinion of the community.”

Phone surveys began Monday, and the WCCS Board of Trustees is seeking participation from all citizens.
