Gardeners to hold plant sale Saturday

The Whitley County Master Gardeners are holding their first plant and seed sale of the season Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.

It will be held at the Whitley County 4-H Center, in conjunction with the Boomerang Backpack fundraiser.

The fundraiser will feature a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., a 5K run, as well as various vendors inside the community building.

In addition, the Master Gardeners will be selling plants on the opening day of the Whitley County Farmer’s Market, in Columbia City, Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Master Gardeners booth will be at the corner of Van Buren and Chauncey streets at the Whitley County Courthouse Square.
