Garold E. Geisleman, 86, of Columbia City, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Millers Merry Manor in Columbia City.
Born in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Everette and Artabel Geisleman.
The World War II Army veteran retired from Slater Steel after 43 years of service. He was also a farmer.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 62 years, Patricia J. Geisleman of Columbia City; sons, Michael and David both of Columbia City, and Gary of Sidney; daughters, Deborah Marble of Depew, Okla., Sandra Kopp of Litchfield, Minn. and Karen Taylor of Fort Wayne; brothers, Paul and Arthur Geisleman; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie, in 1959; brothers, Donald, Glen and Harold; and an infant sister.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., with calling one hour prior to service.
Calling will also be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. www.covingtonmemorial.com.
