GAS PRICE VAULTS: Warm weather travelers must endure more high gas prices

COLUMBIA CITY – It's summertime weather and motorists are traveling – and, you guessed it, gas prices spiked to $4 in Whitley County late Wednesday and overnight.An exception was Valero in Columbia City, which was still pumping regular at $3.75 early Thursday.Several stations in northwest Indiana are selling a gallon of unleaded well above $4. The highest is $4.29 in Highland and Merrillville.The lowest unleaded gas in Indiana is $3.58 in Crawfordsville.
