Post & Mail photo / Phil Smith: A trio of hens marched in formation on Lincolnway near the Whitley County 4-H Fairgrounds this week, seeming to answer the age-old question about why chickens cross the road in the first place. The foul were actually on the east side of the road and flirted with the idea of crossing before turning around and heading back to the relative safety of a nearby yard.
