Gloria Joann Kaylor, 79 formerly of Huntington passed away at 6:03 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor in Columbia City. She had worked at Wabash Magnetics from November of 1964 until her retirement in April of 1993. She was a member of St. Peterâ€™s Lutheran Church and belonged to the Womenâ€™s Guild. She was an avid bowler. After retirement she enjoyed working for several years at Zahm Greenhouse.
She was born March 14, 1931 in Huntington, a daughter of Clarence and Mary (Spath) Zickafoose.
She was united in marriage to Max R. Kaylor, Sr. May 15, 1947. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 2008.
Survivors include two sons: Max R. (Rhonda) Kaylor, Jr. of Huntington; Gordon W. Kaylor of Huntington; two daughters: Lynnette A. (Lyle) Bailey of Columbia City and Cindy K. (Mark) Strack of Columbia City; three brothers, Clarence Zickafoose of Florida, Frank Zickafoose of Michigan and Richard Zickafoose of Huntington; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Zickafoose and a grandson, Todd Kaylor.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Dr. Richard Lofgren officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
