Change is coming to the corner of Line and West Van Buren streets in downtown Columbia City as crews work to prepare the former Eagles Lodge for demolition. Columbia Cityâ€™s Redevelopment Commission made arrangements to purchase the building late in 2013. City officials approved a measure to have the building torn down.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Demolition has begun on the Columbia City Redevelopment Commissionâ€™s building, located at the corner of Van Buren and Line Streets. The former location of the Eagles Lodge was purchased by the Columbia City RDC late last year.
