GRADS: ’Busco lauds Class of 2013

June 7, 2013

CHURUBUSCO — “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”

This quote, originally spoken by hall-of-fame football coach Vince Lombardi, was Churubusco Junior/Senior High School Principal Jim Folland’s tribute to the Class of 2013.

In his remarks, the principal touted the class of just more than 100 earning an estimated scholarship total in excess of $500,000. He lauded athletic achievements as well, noting the Class of 2013 was the first to win the conference championship in football for all four of its years.

Cultural efforts were lauded as well. Folland listed six foreign exchange students that attended the school this year.

“That is the most we have had in a long time,” he said.
