July 31, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — A man arrested for using drugs at Duff’s Bar in Columbia City is scheduled to plead guilty in August.

Chad Sweet, 36, was charged with dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, a Class B felony.

His attorney, Brad Voelz, said Sweet had some personal matters to attend to for his family, but scheduled a change of plea hearing Aug. 19.

Sweet was arrested in April. At that time, witnesses told law enforcement officers they saw Sweet and another man in the men’s restroom at Duff’s.
