Hake prepares to say so long

December 23, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY – Jackie Hake’s final day as the executive director for the Whitley County Council on Aging is quickly approaching.

After 18 years of service, Hake will retire officially at the end of December. It’s been a bittersweet announcement, as Hake leaves with numerous fond memories of her years spent with the senior center.

“I have had the chance to sit in my position and watch so many great things happen here,” Hake said. “This has been my life. Although I am ready to retire, it’s hard to say goodbye.”

To celebrate Hake’s career, a retirement party is planned for Jan. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Woodlands Senior Center.
