Whitley trick-or-treat — 6 to 8 p.m.The town of South Whtiley announced that trick-or-treat will be held between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween night. •Pierceton trick-or-treat — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.Pierceton town officials announced that trick-or–treat will be held between the hours of 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween night.•Candy give-away — 6 to 8 p.m.The 2049 UAW will be handing out candy from 6 to 8 p.m. The UAW post is located at 1126 S. 50 E. in Columbia City.•Lions Club Bats and Bow Wows — 5 p.m.The South Whitley Lions Club will host Bats and Bow Wows, Wednesday at the Cleveland Township EMS Station, State Street, starting at 5 p.m.The club will be selling hot dogs for a $1, brats with onions and sauerkraut for $2, hot chocolate for $1 as well as pop and other snacks for .50 cents.•Trunk and treat — 5 p.m.Tri Lakes Baptist Church, 5679 N. Center St., in the Tri Lakes area, is having its annual Trunk and Treat event on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be some inside games for kids of all ages plus plenty of cars with trunks full of Halloween candy. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available along with popcorn. •Church of the Nazarene — 7 p.m.The Columbia City Church of the Nazarene will be hosting its annual fall festival Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be free food, fun, games and treats for all ages. Costume judging will take place at 7 p.m. It’s all free. A Halloween alternative will feature candy, games, hay rides and more for ages three through fifth grade. Costumes are welcome, but nothing scary.
