I donâ€™t know who sold us adults on the idea that once we get a certain age, birthday celebrations are not necessary. Today I turn 37, and even at 37, I would be the first in line for the bounce house, to receive a balloon animal or watch a magic show. To me, it doesnâ€™t matter how old I get, I still enjoy my birthday. I get excited about the notion of cake, I still rush to the mailbox to collect my birthday cards and I wait with anticipation to see what my special day will hold.
