For the last four seasons, one of Columbia City’s very own has been among the best the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has to offer.
In 2007, senior Angela Parry-Lemon was just a freshman at Hanover College when she earned her first all-conference honor in the HCAC.
Four years later, the former Lady Eagle received her fourth award from the conference for a 4-2 record in singles conference play.
Parry-Lemon went 5-5 overall at the No. 1 singles position in her final year as a Panther.
Splitting her time with doubles, Parry-Lemon also combined with freshman Danielle Miller and Mandy Learned for a 4-5 record overall and 4-4 mark in the HCAC as Hanover’s No. 1 doubles duo.
The Panthers finished the season with a team record of 4-6 while placing sixth in the HCAC with a 3-5 record.
To go with her list of achievements at Hanover, Parry-Lemon has a scholar athlete award in each year as a Panther.
Parry-Lemon has two HCAC individual tournament championships to her name.
While capturing the HCAC conference title in her freshman year, Parry-Lemon also won the tournament at No. 3 singles. For her first two seasons at Hanover, Parry-Lemon also played No. 2 doubles.
In her junior season, Parry-Lemon jumped up to No. 2 singles while being a part of the Panthers top doubles tandem.
The same year, Hanover went 8-0 claiming the HCAC title as a team while Parry-Lemon also won her second HCAC individual tournament championship at No. 2 singles.
