Columbia City’s boys track team traveled to New Haven this week to take on two Northeast Hoosier Conference foes — the host Bulldogs and East Noble.

The Eagles fell short, as New Haven took the win with 86 points, followed by East Noble with 44 and Columbia City with 40.

A highlight of the night was high jumper Tim Hearld, who cleared 5 feet, 10 inches.

Also picking up wins was the 3,200-meter relay team of Seth Kissinger, Evan Harney, David Fulk and Andrew McFarland, McFarland in the 400-meter dash and Dakota Goldwood in the shot put.

Wayne Smith placed second in the 100-meter dash, and the 1,600-meter relay team of McFarland, Kissinger, David Osborn and Trent Hinen also placed second.
