Heuer announces good news for Indiana schools

INDIANAPOLIS — Details are still sketchy, but Indiana Rep. Kathy Heuer, R-Columbia City announced late this morning that recent belt-tightening at the Statehouse by Indiana legislators and Gov. Mitch Daniels has freed up an as-yet undisclosed amount of money that she says will be returned to Indiana schools.According to Heuer, the windfall will be used to help schools fund full-day kindergarten. She said she doesn't know yet how much money has been freed up, but said she knows it's in the millions of dollars.A full story with details will appear in the Saturday edition of The Post & Mail.
