INDIANAPOLIS — Details are still sketchy, but Indiana Rep. Kathy Heuer, R-Columbia City announced late this morning that recent belt-tightening at the Statehouse by Indiana legislators and Gov. Mitch Daniels has freed up an as-yet undisclosed amount of money that she says will be returned to Indiana schools.
According to Heuer, the windfall will be used to help schools fund full-day kindergarten. She said she doesn't know yet how much money has been freed up, but said she knows it's in the millions of dollars.
A full story with details will appear in the Saturday edition of The Post & Mail.
