Friday, a group of students gathered on the Whitley County Courthouse lawn for a history lesson brought to life.

Joe (left) and Denise Shawver, along with their son, Josh (center), demonstrated to a group of eighth grade U.S. History students from Indian Springs Middle School various facets of life in the 18th century.

The Shawver family regularly reenacts Revolutionary War life.
