January 10, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — Indian Springs Middle School’s 8th-grade Lady Eagles hosted Bellmont Tuesday evening at ISMS.

The Lady Eagles grabbed an early lead and posted a decisive 51-6 win.

Coach Trish Sittler said Darian Farber came out confident and ended with 16 points while Holly Martinez used solid defense to turn some steals and rebounds into 14 points.

Miranda McConnell and Chelsea Pettigrew had six points apiece, while Morgan Bales added five points along with some great defense, Sittler said. McConnell also had two blocks for the Lady Eagles. Kate Frei and Brittney Kinney contributed a basket each.

The Eagles are now 8-1 and play again tonight at Woodside Middle School.

Indian Springs plays host to a tournament Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
