WHITLEY COUNTY — As winter weather ends, repair work begins.
Several of the county’s roads, as well as bridges and culverts, are receiving maintenance and repair work.

With the scheduled work, road closures are happening throughout the county. The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that Ind. 9 will be closed beginning Friday to rehabilitate the deck for the bridge over Catfish Creek.

The closure will be six miles north of Columbia City, and is expected to continue through early August.

Work includes a new concrete bridge deck and rehabilitation of two piers, and costs $750,000.
