INVESTIGATION PROGRESSING: Body found in woods I.D.’d as drug felon

May 13, 2013

WHITLEY COUNTY — More information is coming forward about the man who was found dead in a wooded area Wednesday.

Dillon Warner, 22, was identified Friday as the body found by a property owner in eastern Whitley County.

Warner, a convicted drug felon, may still have been alive had his court hearing last month had a different outcome.

The Allen County judge spared Warner prison time — which may have been more of a death sentence.

According to reports, Warner was in Allen County Superior Court April 15, and pleaded guilty to three felony counts of drug possession, two felony counts of theft and one misdemeanor count of resisting law enforcement.
