April 11, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — Two Indian Springs Middle School soccer teams dropped their home openers Tuesday night.

The ISMS boys Stars opened against Leo, falling 9-0, and the Lady Eagles dropped a 3-1 game to Summit Middle School (Homestead) on their first games of the season.

“For our first game of the season and as little practices as we’ve had, they played great,” ISMS boys Stars Coach Luke Genth said. “We have high hopes for the rest of the season.”

Avery Sparks scored the lone goal for ISMS in the girls game, and the Lady Eagles play host to Carroll tonight, weather permitting.

The boys Stars play again tonight, weather permitting.
