Jack Thompson, 80

Jack L. Thompson, 80, of Albion, passed away at 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
Born Sept. 23, 1932, in Wolf Lake, he was the son of Chauncey G. and Lodema (Hile) Thompson.
He was a lifetime resident of Noble County and attended Wolf Lake High School.
On April 12, 1963, he married Betsy Ross.
He worked at Goshen Rubber, Goshen for 39 years. He was a member of VFW, Wolf Lake, Whitley County F.O.P. Lodge for 49 years and Eagles Lodge #1906, Columbia City since 1965.
Survivors include his wife, Betsy R. Thompson of Albion; two sons, Dennis K. Thompson of Syracuse and William L. Thompson of Madison; two sisters, Helen Mustin of Fort Wayne and Roxy Gibson of Columbia City and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wolf Lake Cemetery. The Whitley County Korean War Honor Guard will present graveside military rites.
