James Heinbaugh, 51

LAFAYETTE — James Daniel Heinbaugh, 51, of Lafayette, died at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1959 in Belvidere, Ill., a son of William Dale and Sharyl (Kerlin) Heinbaugh.
He served two terms in the U.S. Army, serving during the Gulf War.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Anna Maria; his father, Rev. William Heinbaugh of Columbia City; four brothers, Stephen Heinbaugh of Neoga Ill., Timothy Heinbaugh of Wabash, Mark Heinbaugh of Highland Ill. and Rev. Michael Heinbaugh of Fort Wayne; and three sisters, Kathy Knolke of Trenton Mo., Nancy Sanders of Windsor Ill. and Larissa West of Katy, Texas.
His mother preceded him in death.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at American Legion Post #11, 1801 S. 9th Street, Lafayette. The graveside service will be held at noon Saturday at Keister Section of Scott Cemetery, north of Columbia City with military honors presented.
