Jim Binkley, 78

Jim Lee Binkley, 78, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Columbia City, he worked for Perfection Biscuit Company for 40 years, retiring in 1996.
He was very active as a labor union leader.
He was a member of Harvester Avenue Missionary Church.
He was an avid reader, fisherman and a fan of the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Notre Dame Football and Indiana University basketball.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 55 years, Joan Felger Binkley; four sons, Daniel (Richele) Binkley, David (Nancy) Binkley, Warren (Sue Ann) Binkley and Monty (Christine) Binkley; brother, Jack (Carole) Binkley; eight grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Ethel “Peggy” Binkley.
The funeral service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior.
Calling will also be at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The burial will be in Eel River Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Harvester Avenue Missionary Church.
