June E. Adams, 90, of Larwill, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 17, 1923, in Whitley County, a daughter of Leo and Huldah J. (Palmer) Miller. She graduated from Larwill High School in 1941.
On Feb. 13, 1943, she was united in marriage to Porter Jackson â€śJackâ€ť Adams. They always made their home in the Larwill area. Mr. Adams died May 14, 2008.
She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church.
Surviving relatives include four children, Judith (Fernando) Villareal of Sparks, Nev., John (Barbara) Adams of Columbia City, Jayma (Randy) Hanauer of Charlotte, N.C. and Janet (Munther) Qubain of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Adams of Hallsville Texas; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joann Kemery of Columbia City.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Adams, and a sister, Rachel Verba.
The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S. Line St., Columbia City, with visitation after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health & Hospice or St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church Building Fund.
