Just hang up: Latest scam involves police impersonation

April 28, 2011

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Sheriff’s Department Det. Chuck Vogely had no idea what the woman was talking about.
The veteran police officer received a phone call out of the blue on Wednesday from a longtime friend.
