Justin Hinen, 21
Justin Edward Hinen, 21, of Columbia City, died early Wednesday morning, March 6, 2013, as a result of a snowmobiling accident north of Columbia City.
He was born Jan. 29, 1992, in Columbia City, a son of Jeffery L. and Cynthia A. (Schenkel) Hinen. He graduated from Columbia City High School and just recently completed his associateâ€™s degree in business and marketing at Baker College.
He was employed at the family business, Hinen Printing.
His memberships included St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, F.F.A., Eel River Pheasants Forever, N.R.A. and 10 year member of Whitley County 4-H Inc.
Surviving relatives include his parents, Jeff and Cindy; a brother and a sister, Jeremy Hinen and Jennifer Hinen; grandparents, Dale and Sharon Hinen and Joan Schenkel Hinen and paternal great-grandmother, Mary Hinen, all of Columbia City.
His maternal grandfather and step grandfather, Thomas Schenkel and Chuck Hinen, preceded him in death.
The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S. Line St., Columbia City, with visitation one hour prior. The burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
The visitation will also be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Sunday.
